This week, we’re taking time to remind everyone about the importance of keeping our students safe on and around the school bus. Let’s all do our part to support our Fremont RE-2 Bus Drivers and help keep every child safe.
Community:
🚦 Stop for flashing lights and stop arms.
🚫 Never pass a stopped school bus.
Students:
👦👧 Wait for the bus to stop completely before approaching.
🪑 Stay seated while the bus is moving.
Families:
🚗 Review bus stop safety rules with your child.

📢 Reminder: Elementary students (K–6) will be dismissed early at 12:00 PM , tomorrow, Thursday, October 16, 2025 for Parent-Teacher Conferences.
🗓 Conferences for K–12 will be held October 16–17. Please check with your child’s teacher or school for times.
Preschool and FJSHS will follow a regular schedule.

On Monday, October 13th, at the Fremont RE-2 School Board meeting, the Board of Education recognized the Junior High Football and Junior High Volleyball teams for winning their league championships.

Our middle school girls volleyball and middle school boys football teams are heading to the championships, and we’re thrilled to host both right here at Florence Jr/Sr High on Thursday, 10/9/25!

With this new technology, he plans to:

✨ Foster discussion and collaboration in an inclusive classroom
✨ Strengthen connections with students by teaching untethered from his laptop
Jason’s passion for lifelong learning, humor, and dedication to his students truly make him a deserving recipient. 👏

The Board of Education of the Fremont RE-2 School District is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Board of Education from the date of appointment on October 13, 2025, until the next regular biennial school election in November 2027. One director seat is currently open for appointment.
To be eligible, candidates must:
• Be a registered elector of the school district for at least twelve consecutive months prior to the date of appointment.
• Not have been convicted of a sexual offense against a child.
Qualified individuals who wish to be considered are invited to submit a written notice of intention to the secretary of the Board of Education by October 8, 2025 by 4:30 p.m., at:

The Board will interview prospective candidates on October 13, 2025, during a public meeting.

New ID cards will be issued to all K–12 students. Cards are needed for bus access and daily school identification; students will need to keep them accessible each day. IDs will be collected at the end of the school year, and replacement cards cost $10. For questions, please contact your child’s school or the district.
